Thomas Cup 2014

Today we are going to talk about the THOMAS CUP 2014, that surprisingly china was out and my country MALAYSIA was in the final against JAPAN.

The first match was LEE CHONG WEI    vs   Kenichi Tago ..World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei had given Malaysia a kick start, beating Kenichi Tago 21-12, 21-16 Which means MALAYSIA 1-0 JAPAN

he second match was TAN and HOO (NEW PAIR !) VS Kenichi Hayakawa and Hiroyuki Endo

but Malaysia lose in the score of 12-21, 21-17, 21-19 still it was a close match

so...MALAYSIA 1-1 JAPAN

The third match was CHONG WEI FENG VS Kento Momota

It was a intense game because Kento, the world junior champion in 2012, ended Wei Feng’s five-match unbeaten streak with a 21-15, 21-17 win in 39 minutes.

Special Note : The next day after THOMAS cup its CHONG WEI FENG'S birthday !

“I could not play at my normal pace and I started to feel the pressure more. I wanted so much to give Malaysia a point and I got more frustrated when I could not break him down,” said Wei Feng.

which means now its..
MALAYSIA 1-2 JAPAN

THE FORTH MATCH WAS !!!! GOH and TAN vs Keigo Sonoda and Takeshi Kamura

GOH and TAN wore down the Japanese pair 19-21, 21-17, 21-12 which give malaysia another point and also GOH and TAN was a new pair and they defeated world No. 13 Keigo Sonoda and Takeshi Kamura.

Which Means...
MALAYSIA 2-2 JAPAN

And now the final match that will choose JAPAN or MALAYSIA will be bringing the THOMAS CUP 2014 home....

Daren Liew                                                            VS                                           Takuma Ueda

and lastly Malaysia lost ..in the end, it was all in vain as the Japanese shuttlers celebrated wildly at one corner after Daren sent the shuttle out wide at 17-20.

BUT STILL AT LEAST WE KNOW THAT DAREN LIEW TRIED !!!

“Most importantly thank you Liew Daren for trying your best, you did us proud and prove your haters wrong. Thank you!”

MALAYSIA 2-3 JAPAN
